Android R Will Support Mobile ID

Significant developments were shared on the second day of the Snapdragon Tech Summit. The technology giant Google talked about the mobile ID and security features that will be brought along with Android R.

Google announced that along with Android R, which will come after Android 10, users will be able to keep their identities on their smartphones. Google’s idea is based on the use of smartphones instead of physical credit cards for payments.

At the technology summit, Google gave an example that you might forget your ID when you go to the airport. This scenario may indicate that mobile IDs may be used at airports soon.

At the Snapdragon Technology Summit, Google did not provide any information as to how governments would implement it. The technology giant is expected to give a more detailed explanation of the issue.
