A new video game adaptation is added to the series and movies, and the game we will see on the big screen this time is a true classic. Pac-Man, who met with the players in 1980 and changed the entire industry, will appear in front of the audience with its live-action movie.
Pac-Man is one of the most important productions ever for the game industry, which has entered almost every device that can be played today, from arcade machines to our homes. The game, which has a special place in both the gaming industry and popular culture, is now getting its own live-action movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project, which will be based on an original idea from Chuck Williams (Sonic the Hedgehog) of Lightbeam Entertainment, hails from Bandai Namco Entertainment, the company behind PAC-MAN, and Wayfarer Studios, the production company founded by Justin Baldoni and Steve Sarowitz.
Pac-Man, whom we saw as a ‘final boss’ in Pixels, which was released in 2015, also appeared in animated films such as Wreck-It Ralph. We will see together how the iconic character, who has its own TV animation shows, even a song called Pac-Man Fever, will make his own movie apart from his games.
Currently, there is no further detail on how Pac-Man’s plot or visual aesthetic will translate into live action.
