Sony’s statement also showed that the sales of 5.1 million PS5 and PS4 copies was a record for PlayStation. God of War: Ragnarök has become the fastest-selling first-party launch game in PlayStation history. The game also broke a record in this regard in the God of War series, which entered our lives in 2005.
The announcement shows that the new production surpasses popular PlayStation titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Returnal. In addition, the developer of the game, Santa Monica Studio, thinks that the sequel will one day succeed in getting ahead of 2018’s God of War, which reached 23 million sales earlier this month.
