Apple has outlined steps for developers to comply with new licensing requirements for games distributed on the App Store in Vietnam. The announcement follows regulations enforced by the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), mandating that all games available in the country must obtain official approval to remain accessible.
To meet the new requirements, Apple advises developers to first secure a game license from the Vietnamese authorities. Once the license is granted, developers must log into App Store Connect and enter the license number along with the corresponding URL in the product page description. This information is only necessary for the App Store localization displayed on the Vietnam storefront.
After entering the required details, developers must submit an update to App Review to ensure their game remains available to Vietnamese users. Apple has emphasized the importance of adhering to these steps to maintain compliance with local regulations.
Apple says developers seeking assistance or clarification regarding the licensing process can contact the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information (ABEI), a division under the MIC, for further guidance.
