Apple Search Ads launches in Brazil and more Latin American markets

First announced at the end of February, Apple Search Ads has expanded its availability to 70 countries and regions, including Brazil, Bolivia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, and Paraguay.

The addition of Brazil to the list is especially significant, considering its position as one of the largest App Store markets globally. Recent research indicates that the Brazilian app market experienced substantial growth in 2023, with revenue reaching $1.7 billion compared to $1.4 billion the previous year. Additionally, there were a total of 10.2 billion app downloads in the country during 2023.

When it comes to Apple Search Ads, an early 2023 study identifies it as the second-largest ad network for user acquisition on iOS, ranking highly in both dollar volume and the number of conversions.

Apple Search Ads provides the opportunity to strategically place ads in different sections of the App Store, including the Today app, the bottom of app product pages, the top of search results, and the Search tab’s “Suggested” section. Apple regularly updates ad products and placements to increase ad visibility and conversions for advertisers.

Lastly, in July, the company announced a new format and streamlined setup for Today tab ads to make them fully visible when users first arrive at the App Store. Additionally, Business Insider reported in March this year that the iPhone maker has started testing an AI-powered App Store ads product.
