According to a new research from InMobi, app users will visit a brand’s brick-and-mortar stores up to 41% more frequently in a year as compared to non-app owners.
Per the study, while retail app owners visit a brand’s physical store locations 37% more frequently than do non-app owners, grocery app users visit physical stores over 25% more frequently than do non-app owners.
The top discovery methods are mobile ads, word of mouth, and TV ads. 38% of people 55+ cite convenience as a reason to order through brand’s apps.
When it comes to QSR, while burger QSR app owners visit a brand’s physical store locations 39% more frequently than do non-app owners, pizza QSR app owners visit stores 17% more frequently than do non-app owners.
The report also found that 50% of the Americans surveyed said they have never ordered through a breakfast brand’s app.
InMobi says app awareness and adoption are low in the QSR and Retail space. “This is clearly a missed opportunity, as the data also shows that app owners are much more valuable to a brand, visiting more frequently throughout the year – and making more purchases,” the report says.
