Translation app downloads grow 71% in Ukraine

According to Sensor Tower, the first-time installs of the top 10 translation apps in Ukraine saw 71% month-over-month growth, due to the ongoing conflict in the region. 

In the first nine days of March, Ukraine’s top 10 translation apps across the App Store and Google Play collectively saw 198,000 installs, a 71 percent increase from 116,000 in the first nine days of February. 

Google Translate led the cohort with nearly 58,000 downloads, followed by Translate All and Camera Translator.

Sensor Tower also found that the top 10 language learning apps saw approximately 132,000 downloads in the first nine days of March, up 47% month-over-month from 90,000 in the first nine days of February. 

Three of the top 10 language learning apps focused specifically on Polish, while the other three focused on English, and one language app was primarily for learning German.
