Scopely has revealed that MONOPOLY GO! amassed an impressive $2 billion in revenue within a mere 10 months post-launch, achieving this milestone just three months after hitting the $1 billion mark.

Monopoly GO’s rapid revenue growth, soaring from $1 billion to $2 billion, sets a new record pace in mobile gaming history. Ferreira lauded the remarkable trajectory as “extraordinary,” emphasizing the “exceptional” community engagement and retention rates that surpassed the company’s initial expectations prior to the game’s launch.

The reimagined mobile version of Hasbro’s classic board game attracts over 8 million players every day, constituting more than 70% of its daily player base exceeding 10 million. The game has been downloaded more than 150 million times so far, with players, on average, logging more than 3x a day.

“This deep engagement is a true testament to our team of gamemakers and the ways they inspire play, every day. It has been incredible to see a game find an extremely invested, loyal audience that continues to significantly grow every day”, Javier Ferreira, co-CEO of Scopely, said in a blog post

This achievement not only marks a major success for Scopely but also reflects positively on its recent acquirer, Savvy Gaming Group. Savvy Gaming Group acquired Scopely for $4.9 billion in April 2023, further solidifying its position in the gaming industry.
