Tencent’s latest financial disclosure points to a dominant year for its gaming portfolio, led by the rapid rise of Valorant Mobile, which has become China’s strongest mobile game launch of 2025.
Released on August 19, Valorant Mobile posted the highest first-month daily active users (DAUs) and revenue of any new mobile title in China this year, according to Tencent, citing data from Sensor Tower and QuestMobile. The launch also pushed the PC version to new highs in September, coinciding with the introduction of esports-related weapon cosmetics.
The broader Valorant franchise more than doubled its monthly active users between July and October, surpassing 50 million MAUs.
Tencent’s report also highlighted major activity across several other top-performing titles. Honor of Kings marked its 10th anniversary in October by reaching 139 million DAUs and posting year-over-year revenue gains across the third quarter. Military shooter Delta Force recorded over 30 million DAUs in September and ranked among the top three games in China by quarterly revenue.
Games from Tencent-affiliated studios also experienced notable growth. Supercell’s Clash Royale—following extensive updates and system overhauls earlier this year—hit all-time highs for monthly DAUs and revenue in September, with third-quarter receipts rising more than 400% compared to the previous year. PUBG Mobile similarly saw improved revenue trends during Q3.
Financially, Tencent reported a 15% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching RMB 192.9 billion ($27.3 billion) for the third quarter. Gross profit rose 22% to RMB 108.8 billion ($15.4 billion), supported by steady performance across gaming, advertising, and fintech segments.
The company said ongoing investments in AI are contributing to improvements in advertising efficiency, content production workflows, and player engagement across key titles.
