Clubhouse announced that it is rolling out its new monetization feature, Clubhouse Payments, “as the first of many features that allow creators and to get paid directly on Clubhouse.”
Clubhouse users will now be able to send payments. The audio-based social app will also be rolling out the ability to receive payments in waves, starting with a small test group as of today.
In order to pay a Clubhouse creator who has the receiving payments feature enabled, you can tap on their profile and click “Send Money”. After registering your credit or debit card, you’ll enter the amount you would like to send. As a person sending the money, you’ll be charged a card processing fee, which will go to Clubhouse’s processing partner Stripe. Clubhouse says it will take nothing.
