WhatsApp Releases A Long-Awaited Privacy Feature

WhatsApp, the world’s most popular instant messaging application, has included a new setting option on the platform that lets you determine who can add you to groups.

The platform, which continues to increase its popularity with the number of globally active users reaching 2 billion, has finally introduced a feature expected for years. With WhatsApp’s new feature, as of today, you’ll now be able to choose which people can add you to WhatsApp groups.

Initially tested in India, the new feature provides you three options: ‘Nobody’, ‘My Contacts’ and ‘Everyone’. It simply prevents people we don’t know or talk to from adding us to random groups.
