PayPal now allows US customers to pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin

American online payments company PayPal, which already allowed its users in the United States to buy and sell crypto currencies within the platform in November, has launched a new service called ‘’Checkout with Crypto’’ to allow US customers to pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.

With the new feature, you’ll be able to convert your Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash to USD directly in the app without any additional transaction fee. If a merchant you want to pay does not accept USD, the company also converts your dollars to other currencies.

This is the first time you can seamlessly use cryptocurrencies in the same way as a credit card or a debit card inside your PayPal wallet, said PayPal President and CEO Dan Schulman.

When you have a “sufficient cryptocurrency balance to cover an eligible purchase”, the Checkout with Crypto feature will automatically appear in your PayPal wallet.

Meanwhile, you can only use one type of coin for each purchase.
