Instagram rolls out ‘Captions’ sticker for Stories

Instagram is reportedly rolling out the ‘Captions’ sticker for Stories which will allow users to add auto-captions to their short videos. 

Detected by a Twitter user (@MattNavarra), the new sticker which is labeled ‘’CC Captions’’ will offer 4 different font styles for users to choose from. 

The ‘Caption’ sticker for Stories could be very helpful for people with hearing loss and also for users when they’re not able to use audio while recording or watching Stories.

To use auto captions for Stories, click on the Captions label after recording your video and the feature will automatically add captions in seconds. Keep in mind that the feature and it’s rollout schedule haven’t been officially announced yet. But, you can update your Instagram app if it’s not the latest version to give a try. 

To offer better user experience, Instagram has introduced many new features recently including Live Rooms for broadcasts with up to 4 users and the Recently Deleted folder which allows users to restore deleted posts. Also, the popular social media platform is reportedly working on a TikTok-like “Vertical Stories” feed.
