Instagram head Adam Mosseri introduced a new “rage shake” feature and carousel deletion option on Wednesday.
Rage Shake allows you to report a problem to Instagram by shaking the phone when a feature does not work properly or you encounter an error in the app. When you shake the phone, a “Report a Problem” window will come up. You can explain the details of the problem by writing to Instagram by moving through the window in question.
“You ever use Instagram and it wasn’t working like it was supposed to? Maybe Stories didn’t load, maybe the audio wasn’t working, maybe you just couldn’t upload a photo and it was just really getting you, really just pissing you off? Now, you can literally shake the phone and a little option will come up that allows you to report a problem,” Mosseri said.

Currently, the feature is only available in the U.S. for iOS and Android users. It is expected to be gradually opened to all users in the coming months.
Another feature Mosseri announced is the deletion of photos from carousel posts. As you know, previously, it was not possible to delete one photo out of a carousel. Instead, you had to delete the entire share and re-share the post.
To delete a photo or video from a carousel post, you can go to the three dots on the post. Then tap on the edit option and select the “delete” icon at the top of the content you want to remove. The carousel deletion option is only available on iOS for now. Mosseri said the ability is “coming soon” for Android.
Adam Mosseri had announced last week that they have started testing the ‘Take a Break’ feature on the social media platform to remind Instagram users to take a break from using the app after either 10, 20, or 30 minutes, based on their preferences.
