Moloco invests in retail media company Topsort

California-based machine learning-powered performance advertising solutions company Moloco has announced a strategic investment in Topsort, a company specializing in artificial intelligence and auction-based retail media infrastructure. As part of the collaboration, Moloco will not only financially invest in Topsort but also provide the ML engine powering Topsort’s retail media infrastructure.

Moloco said the synergy between the company’s advanced ML and personalization capabilities and Topsort’s unique auction-based algorithms and intuitive user interface promises to revolutionize ad personalization and customer experience. By integrating these two powerful technologies, the companies aim to achieve higher click-through rates (CTR), optimized budget utilization, and a seamless, disruption-free customer journey.

“Moloco’s retail media platform leverages sophisticated deep learning and transformer models to predict user behavior, deliver relevant ads, and generate strong ROI for advertisers,” said Brandon Maultasch, CFO of Moloco. “We’re thrilled to support Topsort and its customers with our advanced ML capabilities, continuing our momentum in the retail media space.”

Topsort’s platform, known for being the fastest API-first offering of its kind, will benefit from Moloco’s capabilities, enabling customers to increase ad load without compromising performance. This integration allows retailers to maximize their customer data and recommend products in a manner akin to Amazon, a capability previously out of reach for many.
