Deep Linking
Deep linking is a marketing method where advertisers send users coming from user acquisition or retargeting campaigns to a specific page within a mobile app. Deep links are used to improve user experience for promotion campaigns and special offers in order to save users’ time and to increase conversion and retention rate eventually.
Directing users to a specific app page instead of homepage or onboarding pages increases the chance of convincing users to take action. While e-commerce apps use deep linking to run a special discount for their product portfolio, game apps prefer deep links to run their special deals for gamers. With the help of deep links, advertisers increase Return on Investment by increasing sales with an easy-to-follow user journey.
Deep Linking on Android: Android 6.0 (API Level 23) or later
Deep Linking on iOS: iOS9 or later
