Google has opened applications for the Google Play Apps Accelerator, a new 12-week program aimed at helping early-stage app companies scale their products and businesses on the Play Store.
Set to begin in March 2026, the accelerator will select participants from over 60 eligible countries. The program will combine one-on-one mentorship from Google experts and industry leaders with a structured curriculum designed to guide startups through the stages of building, growing, monetizing, and leading a sustainable app business.
The initiative is divided into four core modules:
- Build: Developers will learn how to move from prototype to scalable product using Play tools and best practices for long-term quality and performance.
- Grow: Sessions will explore go-to-market strategies, user acquisition, and LiveOps techniques for retaining users and building engaged communities.
- Earn: Participants will work on crafting effective monetization models that drive sustainable revenue while adding value to users.
- Lead: Founders will receive training in leadership, hiring, and company culture development as their teams expand.
In addition to training, participants will join a global network of app founders to share experiences and collaborate on overcoming industry challenges.
Applications are open until January 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM GMT, and selected companies will be notified ahead of the program’s March launch.
