Google opens submissions for Indie Games Accelerator, expands it for the new markets

Google announced that it has opened submissions for two of its annual developer programs  – the Indie Games Accelerator and the Indie Games Festival.

Indie Games Accelerator, a program for Google Play’s top indie gaming startups looking to power their growth on Android, expands this year to nearly double eligible markets including the US, UK, Germany, Russia, Japan, South Korea and more.

As part of the accelerator program, which will be fully online, indie developers will have a chance to  get direct access to leading game experts from Google as well as from leading game studios and institutions around the world, for education and mentorship.

Selected participants will be invited to take part in a 12-week online acceleration program.

You need to apply by July 1st for the acceleration program.

“These programs are designed to help small games studios grow on Google Play, no matter what stage they are in:

If you are a small games studio looking for help to launch a new title, apply for the Accelerator to get mentorship and education;

Or, if you have already created and launched a high quality game that is ready for the spotlight, enter the Festival for a chance to win promotions.”

Google said in the announcement post.

As part of the Indie Games Festival, Google will host three competitions for developers,  who have recently launched a high quality game, from Japan, South Korea, and selected European countries.

Winners will have a chance to have prizes include features on Google Play store, promotional campaigns worth 100,000 EUR, and more.

Here you can find the application link for the Indie Games Festival based on your region.
