Apple has opened App Store submissions for apps built on its latest operating systems, including iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26, and watchOS 26. The software updates are expected to roll out to customers worldwide in the coming weeks.
Developers can now use Xcode 26 Release Candidate and the latest SDKs to build and test applications. Submissions must go through TestFlight testing before being reviewed for the App Store.
The new operating systems introduce several changes, including a redesigned interface, the Liquid Glass visual system, updates to the Foundation Models framework, and the debut of the new Apple Games app.
Apple also outlined new submission requirements. Beginning April 2026, all apps uploaded to App Store Connect must meet the following criteria:
- iOS and iPadOS apps must use the iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 SDKs or later.
- tvOS apps must use the tvOS 26 SDK or later.
- visionOS apps must use the visionOS 26 SDK or later.
- watchOS apps must use the watchOS 26 SDK or later.
More details on the submission process are available on Apple’s developer website.
