App Store Connect expands localization support to 50 languages

Apple has added support for 11 additional languages in App Store Connect, increasing the total number of languages available for app metadata localization to 50.

The newly supported languages include Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Slovenian, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The update expands developers’ ability to tailor app listings for a wider range of regional audiences, with a particular focus on growing markets such as India.

With the expanded language support, developers can now localize key elements of their app listings, including names, descriptions, keywords, and screenshots. These updates can be submitted alongside the next version of an app across Apple’s platforms, allowing for more targeted presentation in different markets.

The change reflects ongoing efforts to improve discoverability and accessibility within the App Store ecosystem. By enabling more localized content, developers can align their app messaging with local languages and cultural contexts, which can influence user acquisition and engagement.

In addition to metadata localization, Apple has updated its App Store badges to include versions in the newly supported languages. These assets can be used in external marketing materials, helping developers maintain consistency between their app listings and promotional campaigns.
