Google Play is doubling down on its commitment to Latin American game developers with the return of its Indie Games Fund (IGF) for a fourth consecutive year. The initiative will invest another $2 million USD to help 10 indie studios in the region level up their projects and grow their businesses.
This fresh round brings Google Play’s total IGF investment in Latin America to $8 million since the program’s launch. The fund provides financial support — between $150,000 and $200,000 per studio — plus hands-on backing from the Google Play team to help developers polish their games, expand teams, and reach new global players.
Daniel Trócoli, from Google Play Partnerships, highlighted the program’s ongoing impact: “We’ve seen firsthand the transformative impact this support has had, enabling studios to expand their teams, refine their creations, and reach new audiences globally.”
Indie developers who have already launched a game — whether on Google Play, another mobile platform, PC, or console — are encouraged to apply. Applications are open until July 31, 2025, with priority given to submissions received by July 15 at 12:00 PM BRT.
The Indie Games Fund has become a vital springboard for local talent. As Vish Game Studio, a past recipient, put it: “The IGF was a pivotal moment for our studio, boosting us to the next level and helping us form lasting connections.”
For developers ready to level up, full eligibility details and the application portal can be found here.
