For the first time, YouTube has captured 10.4% of total TV viewership, outpacing all other streaming services. This achievement is a notable increase from its 9.9% share in June 2024, demonstrating a 0.5% growth month-over-month. This surge solidifies YouTube’s position as a leading force in the streaming sector, reflecting the platform’s ability to engage viewers with its extensive and diverse content library.
The broader trend in streaming is also noteworthy. Overall streaming consumption saw a substantial 15% increase in 2024, underscoring a shift away from traditional cable TV.
