Stagwell expands experiential marketing portfolio with acquisition of JetFuel

Stagwell has announced the acquisition of JetFuel, an experiential marketing services agency that accelerates brand awareness through experiences, content and conversations.

Stagwell has acquired JetFuel, an experiential marketing agency based in Brooklyn, New York. JetFuel will operate as a subsidiary of Stagwell’s integrated experiential agency, TEAM. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2016, JetFuel specializes in live brand experiences, shopper and retail marketing, digital content, and sponsorship activations. The agency has delivered work for major brands including Walmart, Unilever, Kimberly Clark, and Feastables. Co-founder and CEO Abe Sorcher will continue to lead the agency.

This acquisition is Stagwell’s third of the year, following previous deals involving Gold Rabbit Sports and ADK Global. The move is part of a broader effort by Stagwell to grow its presence in the experiential marketing space and respond to increasing demand for in-person brand engagement.

“Experiential marketing continues to be a critical part of how brands build meaningful connections,” said Dan Gregory, CEO of TEAM. “Adding JetFuel to our network supports our goal of scaling impactful, results-oriented activations across industries.”

Before launching JetFuel, Sorcher co-founded and led Escalate, another experiential marketing firm acquired by Acosta Group in 2015. He later led North American operations for Mosaic, Acosta’s experiential unit, until founding JetFuel in 2019.

Commenting on the acquisition, Sorcher said, “This marks a new chapter for JetFuel. With Stagwell, we gain access to new data tools, creative talent, and resources that can help us deliver more sophisticated and effective brand experiences.”

Mark Penn, Chairman and CEO of Stagwell, added, “JetFuel strengthens our experiential capabilities and fits into our strategy of targeted acquisitions that support clients through focused, agile marketing services.”

JetFuel was advised by Kidron Capital Securities in the transaction.

With this acquisition, Stagwell continues to build a diverse offering across creative, performance, and experiential marketing, reflecting its aim to adapt to changing consumer behavior and evolving brand strategies.
