Scopely takes majority stake in Loom Games at $1 billion-plus valuation

Mobile games publisher Scopely has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Istanbul-based studio Loom Games, the developer behind hybrid-casual title Pixel Flow!, in a transaction that values the company at more than $1 billion.

The deal, structured as a multi-year, performance-based agreement, comes just months after Loom Games launched its debut title and shortly after the studio completed a seed funding round backed by investors including Arcadia Gaming Partners and e2vc. Financial terms beyond the valuation were not disclosed.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Kübra Gündoğan and CTO Emre Çelik, Loom Games has grown to a team of roughly 20 employees. Following the transaction, the founders will continue to lead the studio from Istanbul.

“Pixel Flow!” launched in late 2025 and has since surpassed 10 million global players, according to the companies. The puzzle game combines ad-based monetization with in-app purchases and introduces a new gameplay mechanic within the casual category. It has also accumulated millions of daily active users and, by Scopely’s account, became the only casual game released in the past year to enter the monthly top-20 grossing rankings in the United States.

The acquisition marks an expansion of Scopely’s development footprint in Türkiye, a market that has drawn increasing investment and produced a wave of mobile-focused studios over recent years. Industry observers have pointed to the country’s growing talent base and track record in casual and hybrid-casual formats as factors driving international interest.

For Arcadia Gaming Partners, which invested in Loom Games during its early financing round, the transaction represents a rapid exit at unicorn-level valuation. The investment firm characterized the studio’s rise as one of the more notable recent growth stories in the Turkish games sector.

The agreement also continues Scopely’s strategy of acquiring or investing in studios with scalable mobile franchises. The company has been among the most active dealmakers in the sector, pursuing both established intellectual property and emerging developers with breakout titles.

With the majority stake now secured, Loom Games will operate within Scopely’s broader portfolio while maintaining its base in Istanbul, as the team works to expand “Pixel Flow!” and develop future projects.
