Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will go offline on April 17, 2026, bringing an end to the title’s live service after a gradual wind-down that began last year. Players can continue accessing existing content until the shutdown date, when servers will be permanently disabled.
The closure follows a period of scaled-back support. The game was removed from app stores in May 2025, and real-money purchases were disabled shortly afterward. Existing players who still have the app installed can continue playing until April, but no new downloads are available.
According to the company’s service update, remaining in-game currency can still be spent before the shutdown. After the servers go offline, unused balances and unredeemed purchases will no longer be accessible. Guest accounts will also disappear once service ends, while Activision-linked accounts will remain active for use in other company titles.
Previously purchased content will remain available in the game until closure, but refunds will not be issued. The shutdown effectively ends all live operations for the mobile version of the franchise.
When Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile launched, it represented an ambitious effort to bring the large-scale battle royale experience of the wider Call of Duty ecosystem to smartphones, with shared progression and familiar maps adapted for mobile play.
However, sustaining long-term engagement proved challenging in a crowded mobile shooter market. While the game achieved strong visibility at launch, it struggled to maintain momentum compared with established mobile competitors and Activision’s own legacy title.
With Warzone Mobile exiting the market, Activision appears to be consolidating its mobile strategy around Call of Duty: Mobile, which continues to receive seasonal updates and live-service support.
The publisher said player feedback from Warzone Mobile will help shape future development across the broader franchise, suggesting lessons from the experiment may influence future cross-platform efforts.
Once the shutdown date arrives:
- Servers will be permanently disabled
- Guest profiles will be removed
- Remaining in-game currency will be lost
- The game will no longer be playable or downloadable
