Mistplay has agreed to acquire Mobivity Holdings Corp.’s Connected Rewards™ platform and related assets, a move aimed at broadening how mobile gaming rewards connect with brand loyalty programs beyond apps and into offline purchasing behavior.
The transaction, announced in late January, is expected to close in early Q1 2026, subject to customary regulatory and closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition will expand Mistplay’s LoyaltyPlay business, which allows app publishers to integrate play-and-earn mechanics that reward users for gameplay and in-app actions. By adding Connected Rewards, Mistplay plans to link those digital engagement loops with real-world brand offers, enabling users to earn rewards tied to retail activity, promotions, and loyalty programs outside of games.
Connected Rewards was developed by Mobivity as a platform to drive customer engagement for brands by connecting digital interactions with measurable offline outcomes. Under Mistplay, the technology is expected to be folded into its existing B2B product suite, giving publishers and brands access to a combined system that spans mobile games, in-app experiences, and physical purchasing moments.
Mistplay said the combined offering is designed to help brands reach users across multiple touchpoints while giving publishers additional tools to increase retention, lifetime value, and monetization. For brands, the integration is positioned as a way to pair mobile engagement with incentives that encourage repeat visits, spending, and loyalty.
Beyond gaming, Mistplay indicated that it sees potential to apply the combined rewards infrastructure to other sectors, including fintech and e-commerce, where loyalty programs and incentive-based engagement play a growing role in customer acquisition and retention.
Mobivity executives said the deal allows Connected Rewards to scale through Mistplay’s global game discovery and rewards network, extending its original focus on driving real-world action through digital engagement.
