Ad fraud detection and prevention firm HUMAN raises over $50 million

Ad fraud detection and cybersecurity company HUMAN Security has secured over $50 million in growth funding to further bolster its defenses against bots, fraud, and digital risks. The funding round, led by WestCap with additional contributions from Goldman Sachs, ClearSky, NightDragon, and Vertex Ventures US, will fuel the development of HUMAN’s cutting-edge Human Defense Platform, the company said.

The Human Defense Platform, used by more than 500 global brands, provides real-time insights and rapid responses to digital threats. With this new investment, HUMAN plans to integrate advanced AI technologies to enhance the platform’s capabilities, scaling its protection to include broader cybersecurity measures and media security solutions.

HUMAN’s platform offers a wide range of tools to address enterprise-wide challenges across the digital customer journey. From protecting advertising inventory from bots and fraud to securing user accounts against takeover attacks, HUMAN’s solutions provide businesses with the tools they need to maintain trust with their customers. The company’s application protection features also defend against scraping, transaction abuse, and supply chain attacks, fostering safer environments for both users and businesses alike.

At the end of 2022, HUMAN acquired clean.io, a protection provider against e-commerce fraud and malicious advertising, also known as malvertising.
