ARPPU stands for Average Revenue per Paying User. It is a metric that measures the average revenue per every paying app user (through subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid app downloads) in a given period. ARPPU is an important metric to help app owners to point out the characteristics of high quality users who spend money inside an app.
ARPPU = total revenue / # of paying users
(calculated by dividing total revenues by the number of paying users)
