French video game developer Ubisoft announced that it has postponed the release of Skull & Bones and cancelled three unannounced games due to the global economic downturn and the underperformance of some of its titles like Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Just Dance 2023.

Ubisoft first revealed Skull & Bones back in 2017 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo event, but the title’s release date has been delayed six times since then. At last year’s Ubisoft Forward event, the company said the game would be released on November 8, but it still hasn’t been released.

The game giant said in a press release on Wednesday that it will be available in early 2023-2024.

It also has decreased its net bookings target for Q3 2022-23 to $779 million, $113M fewer than previously announced $892M.
