Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth coming to Android, iOS on May 10

Electronic Arts (EA) and Capital Games announced that their new title The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will be available for download on Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store on May 10, 2023.

The upcoming RPG title, which will take place in J.R.R. Tolkien’s universe, was first announced in May last year. 

’It is my pleasure to inform you that we have a Worldwide Launch timeline in place.” said  Game Director Nick Reinhart in a statement. ‘’We will be globally launching The Lord of the Rings™: Heroes of Middle-earth on May 10th, 2023! We are so tremendously excited to be announcing our launch date and once again cannot thank you enough for going on this ride with us. We will have upcoming information about the timing of the economy reset in the next week or so, along with some more regular release updates as we get closer to launch. We’ve got a lot of awesome content and feature plans coming. It’s got lots of beloved characters, along with maybe a few new faces. Please stay tuned as we get closer to the date!’’ 

While the global launch of the long-awaited game is only a month away, Play Store and App Store can now apply for pre-registration and get exclusive perks for doing so.

Since Swedish video game company Embracer Group acquired the IP rights to The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit last year, it will receive royalties from the upcoming game.
