GIANTX Acquires iTero Gaming in multi-million dollar deal

Global gaming and esports powerhouse GIANTX has announced the acquisition of UK-based start-up iTero Gaming. Although the exact amount was not revealed, the company described the acquisition as “the multi-million deal”.

The acquisition, focusing on iTero’s League of Legends coaching app, underscores GIANTX’s commitment to enhancing the global esports experience. The app, which has garnered nearly a quarter million installs within two years, leverages AI to analyze player performance, optimize in-game strategies, and provide actionable insights. By incorporating iTero’s cutting-edge technology, GIANTX aims to offer its worldwide audience a more personalized and effective coaching experience, fostering improved competitive performance.

Founded by Jack Joseph Williams, iTero Gaming has quickly become a notable player in the industry, using its AI to evaluate millions of games and recommend optimal strategies. This includes suggesting the best champions for team compositions, recommending bans, and providing real-time in-game tools like objective timers.

Tim Reichert, Co-CEO of GIANTX, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasizing its role in pushing the boundaries of player performance and technological innovation. “This acquisition is a pivotal step in our quest to lead in esports excellence. iTero’s AI technology will significantly enhance our training processes, unlocking new levels of potential for our players and enriching the global gaming community.”

This acquisition also aligns with GIANTX’s broader strategic vision, the company said. The merger of London-based Excel Esports and Malaga-based Giants Esports last year established GIANTX as a leading force in the esports world, with a solid presence in London, Malaga, and Berlin. By integrating iTero Gaming’s innovative solutions, GIANTX is set to revolutionize training methodologies and performance optimization for both professional and aspiring gamers.

Jose Diaz, Co-CEO of GIANTX, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the significance of integrating AI into the gaming sector. “We are thrilled to bring Jack J and iTero Gaming into the GIANTX family. This milestone will propel us forward in advancing AI technology in esports and delivering unparalleled insights to our players.”

Jack Joseph Williams shared his excitement about joining GIANTX, reflecting on his journey from an esports fan to a pioneer in AI coaching. “Joining GIANTX feels like a full-circle moment for me. I believe in the power of data and AI to disrupt traditional esports practices and am eager to contribute to GIANTX’s innovative approach.”
