WhatsApp has launched its digital payments feature in Brazil, allowing users to transfer money to each other through the messaging app, and said it will bring it to other countries over time.
Facebook has been working on the integration of its digital payment system Facebook Pay and its popular messaging app WhatsApp for a while.
The company just announced that the online payments feature is now available in Brazil, and said ββWe look forward to bringing it to everyone as we go forward.”

Businesses will pay a 3.39% processing fee per transaction, while the new feature is completely free for users. Users will be asked to create a 6 digit password or use their fingerprints to complete transactions.
