Activision announced that its hit battle royale title Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to mobile devices. “We are creating an all-new, AAA mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fluid and large-scale action of Call of Duty®: Warzone™ to players on the go,“ the company said in a blog post.
The upcoming title will be the second COD game to be adapted for mobile, following the release of Call of Duty: Mobile in 2019. According to Sensor Tower, as of February 2022, Call of Duty: Mobile surpassed $1.5 billion in global lifetime player spending across Google Play and the App Store.
Activision says the mobile Warzone will be a “large-scale, battle royale experience built natively for mobile with cutting-edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.”
