BeReal now lets UK users post more than once a day

France-based rising photo-sharing app BeReal announced that it’s launching its new ‘’Bonus Bereal’’ feature in the United Kingdom to let users share posts more than once a day.

Founded in late 2019 by Alexis Barreyat and Kévin Perreau, BeReal saw a massive growth in popularity last year especially among Generation Z. Giving users two minutes a day to take photos using their front and back cameras simultaneously, the app aims to offer a more authentic and instantaneous experience without the beauty filters we’re used to seeing on other platforms like Instagram and Snapchat.

While some users wait for the app’s daily notification to share what they’re doing with their friends, many of them usually prefer to do it later in the day since they could be busy with something else at that moment.

‘’Ever wish you had the chance to show your BeReal friends more of your day?’’ BeReal wrote in its announcement post. ‘’We’ve all been there… the BeReal notification goes off before we’re at the concert, out to dinner, or connecting with family and friends, and we’re faced with the ultimate decision: post late or miss the moment.’’

Thanks to the new Bonus BeReal feature, however, users will now be able to share two more photos during the day if they post their daily BeReal within two minutes of receiving the notification.

While the new Bonus BeReal feature has been launched in the United Kingdom only, the company is planning to expand it to users in other countries soon.

‘’Remember this is a test, so don’t be surprised if we change some things as we go,’’ the company noted.
