Apple’s revenue from games and music will grow to $8.2B by 2025, J.P. Morgan says

J.P.Morgan said on Monday via Reuters that Apple’s revenue from Apple Arcade and Apple Music is expected to increase 36% to $8.2 billion by 2025. The two services are expected to have a combined subscriber base of around 180 million — 110 million for music and 70 million for gaming — by 2025, according to analysts.

Apple Music, which launched in 2015 and is the second-largest music streaming service after Spotify, is expected to make up a larger portion of this total revenue and generate approximately $7 billion by 2025.

On the other hand, Apple’s gaming subscription offering Apple Arcade which was launched in 2019, is expected to generate $1.2 billion by 2025.

Although the company does not provide a sales breakdown for its games and music services, we do know that its overall segment, which includes the App Store, Apple TV+, Arcade and Apple Music, generated $19.82 billion in revenue for the March quarter.

By the second quarter of 2021, Apple Music had 78 million subscribers worldwide, accounting for 19% of subscribers worldwide.
